Labuan International School successfully held its fifth Inter-School Debate Competition on 22 April with the tagline “Our Voices Resonate, The Minds and Hearts Passionate” at LIS Auditorium and Art Gallery. With 10 schools from Labuan, Sabah and Kuala Lumpur participating in this  competition, Sabah Tshung Tsin School once again bagged the Champion Trophy home, followed by SMK Limbanak, Penampang and SM Sains Labuan. Benjamin Michael Teo from (Sabah Tshung Tsin) won the best debater. LIS Debate Teams made to Semi-Final which significantly proved the students better progress in the art of debating. In conclusion, it was a very valuable experience for both LIS students and teachers to witness the good quality of debating skills from all participating schools. We hope that our debaters will do better to achieve victory in debate competition next year.
